The working title I have chosen for my magazine is "Exclusives". I decided to use this as my title because it will give the latest news and reviews on bands,albums,films,dvds,games and gigs.
The first demographic I looked at for my magazine were age and gender. I decided to aim my magazine at males as I felt that the contents of this magazine would be more suited to them and their tastes. The age I'd ideally like for my target audience is 14-21. This is because this is the age group that I think would be interested in what my magazine has to offer as it is the sort of thing that would appeal to people in the age range. The magazine will be based in England. The reviews of gigs will be from English venues, however the bands could be from anywhere. I would not give my magazine an income demographic because teenagers and young adults are not normally the main source of income in a household, so it is difficult to classify them.
Having looked at the psychographics for my magazine in terms of the website "UK Tribes". From this magazine I have found a few "tribes" that I think my magazine would appeal to. The "tribes" are:

The "tribes" I have chosen cover quite a large range of people and tastes in music and films. This means that the magazine should appeal to not just one group of people, but to many groups. By having this it could mean that undiscovered bands could be discovered and become known.
I have decided that the price of my magazine would be £2.10. I have chosen this as a price because it is cheaper than most music magazines, which will mean than there will be greater demand for it. With having a high demand for it, the magazine should be able to make a profit. My magazine would produced fortnightly because by having it fortnightly the news will be more up to date than if it was monthly, also if it was weekly, it may be too expensive for the average teenager.
The content of my magazine will be similar to that of NME, because it will feature band news, band reviews and gig reviews. However it will also have different aspects such as film,dvd and game reviews as well, so the target audience becomes larger and more people would be interested in purchasing it.
My magazine will be similar in style to that of NME because both magazines are roughly aimed at the same audience.
