Evaluation Question 7

7. Looking back at your preliminary task (the college magazine task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

I believe that I have learnt much more than I had from the preliminary task, as I have developed more skills than I first had. My front covers are an example of this, as the college magazine is a lot more basic than that of my music magazine, for example:

My college magazine front cover:

My music magazine front cover:

As you can see, the music magazine is better developed and created than the college magazine, because when we got to the music magazine, I had learnt more skills than I initially had. I feel that by looking at other music magazines and gathering information and inspiration from them, it helped me to create my final front cover, which I am very pleased with as I believe that it does look quite effective.

Again there is a noteable difference between my preliminarily task and my final media project contents pages.

A lot of the Photoshop techniques I used were very helpful, for example, the clone stamp tool helped me tidy up and get rid of things that I didn't want in the final image.
The blending option tools were very helpful as well such as stroke, as that helped shadow the image and added a thick line of colour around it so it would stand out.
Colour picking became quite difficult at times, as there were a lot of variations of just one colour, and I had to make sure that I picked the correct one to keep in with the colours I had bee using.
